SCHOOL NEWS- P7 Visit to GLASGOW UNIVERSITY

Mr. O'Hare and I took a group of children to Glasgow University for Science /Maths  for the more able pupils.

Parents' Meeting

Last week we held our twice yearly meetings with our parents, to discuss our pupils' progress.


In addition to parent-teacher interviews, a variety of local clubs and associations were on hand to create awareness of what is on in the area -

AROUND THE CLASSROOMS

Emails and pictures are always welcomed enthusiastically by the children - these are displayed in the classrooms and around our school!

OUR COMENIUS BANNER

We were so impressed by our Polish colleagues' banner that we had one made for our school and it is on display outside the school. Sadly we managed to get the dates wrong!

Our foyer also has clocks displaying the time in our partner countries.

 

SCHOOL NEWS- Primary 6 TRIP to Local Supermarket

Primary 6 pupils went to the Local supermarket in MUIRHEAD to find out about Fairtrade products

SCHOOL NEWS- FAIRTRADE DAY

As you will see on the school web-site, St. Barbara's held a FAIRTRADE DAY, resulting from whole school cross-curricular topics, finding out about fairtrade countries and produce.

SKITTLE-MAKING

Work is well under progress with our toy-making- here are some pictures of our skittles in the process of being completed!

The finished game will have a local theme and rules will be made up.
