Holiday Time
School stopped today for the Christmas and New Year Holiday.
Yesterday we had parties for P1-3 and P4-7 and this morning my class had a class party............lots of dancing and eating.
Everyone is looking forward to the forthcoming celebrations.............. we have all been busy wrapping gifts and sending cards-------- though our bad weather has prevented some activities!

Back to School.................
.............. before we stop for the Holidays on Thursday 23rd.
It has been a really difficult term with the terrible weather creating all sorts of problems and as a result we are all playing catch-up here!
Today, P7 were supposed to be going through to the Parliament at Holyrood- but this had to be postponed due to the weather.

Weather-Latest
School re-opened this week..........then closed again due to a bad snowstorm.
I couldn't actually get into St.Barbara's and had to walk back to Gartcosh Primary to help out there until it closed too after the children went home safely accompanied by their carers.
Schools in the whole of North Lanark have remained closed as the poor weather and horrendous road conditions continue- they are closed again to staff and pupils today (Thursday)
As a result, project work is well behind schedule- but will be completed ASAP upon some return to normality.
News report
These two pictures show the main street in Gartcosh, where I live (taken on Tuesday)

School Closed Due to Weather
The school was only open for a handful of pupils for two half-days last week. All teachers were in on Friday and it is expected things should be back to near normal in the coming week..................although recent weather reports suggest that this bout of really bad weather will continue.
